South Downs Planetarium Visit

Posted on November 13th 2019

On Friday 08 November 2019, STEM club had a trip that was out of this world! Staying after school, they had time to unpack a new gadget they will work with this term: a radiation recorder.

Then they had time to have pizza, before carrying out an experiment to investigate the curvature of the earth, and finally, they went to the planetarium! The South Downs Planetarium in Chichester is brilliant. The lecturer is a real expert and showed us lots of interesting things to look for in the Autumn skies over the next few weeks, as well as showing us what will happen in millions of years when galaxies collide. Awesome stuff!
