We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice IT Support Technician to join our IT Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology who is looking to begin a career in IT while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.


Key Responsibilities
As an Apprentice IT Support Technician, your duties will include:
• Installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware, software, operating systems and peripheral devices.
• Setting up and deploying desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices and other specialist equipment.
• Providing first-line technical support to staff and students in person, by telephone and through the IT helpdesk system.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Performing routine maintenance to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and efficient.
• Assisting with software installations, upgrades and updates.
• Supporting printers, audiovisual equipment, interactive classroom displays and telephony systems.
• Assisting with the testing and evaluation of new technologies and services.
• Maintaining accurate records of support requests and completed work.
• Helping to ensure IT equipment is installed safely and operating correctly.
• Supporting IT projects and infrastructure improvements across the Trust.
• Promoting good cyber security practices and assisting users with technical guidance and advice.
