Wahey...all back in one piece! What an adventure!

Blessed with snow and ice, Iceland was a collection of wonderful experiences and memories for the boys (esp. for those who hadn't had the chance to venture abroad or travel by plane).

Snow covered mountains from which to view glaciers, a walk around the capitol Reykjavik, a dip in the geothermal Blue Lagoon, freezing temperatures viewing the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, straddling the Eurasion and North American tectonic plates, walking around a volcanic crater, watching Geysers erupting and watching unsuspecting tourists nearly being wiped out by the enormous "Sneaky" Atlantic waves (5m high crashing onto the black sand beach which claim more lives than any other feature in Iceland) to name but a few - waiting with baited breath with our cameras at the ready for a potentially viral photo/video!

Evenings were spent monopolising the well equipped game room where the boys and staff could together play pool, air hockey, table tennis or play cards and chess.

The hotel was 1st class and the excellent rooms offered the chance to relax in front of the TV or browse the Internet. Breakfast and dinner was exemplary - diverse enough for even the fussiest of eaters and always provided an ample opportunity for seconds/thirds!

We'd like to take this opportunity to commend the boys on their conduct during the trip and their parents/carers for supporting the trip.

Where next you ask? Camel trekking across the Sahara desert or the National Parks of North America?
