A very warm welcome to Forest. I am thrilled that you are joining our family and I cannot wait to get to know you in the years to come.

I know that change can feel a little scary.  When I joined Forest 8 years ago, I stood exactly where you are now. I was leaving a comfortable place where I knew everyone, and while I was excited, I was also very nervous. But I can promise you this: that daunting feeling doesn't last. Very quickly you will make new friends, discover new favourite subjects, and find teachers who inspire you.

Moving to secondary school is about possibility. You are at the very start of a journey where you can choose who you want to become. I urge you to grab every opportunity, work hard, and try new things.  Be prompt, be prepared, be productive, be polite, and above all, be proud to be a member of our family. I am certainly proud that you are here.

A very warm welcome to the The Forest family!

My name is Mr Giacomelli, and as your Head of Year 7, I am thrilled to be leading you through what is arguably the most exciting year of your educational journey so far. Transitioning to secondary school is a significant "step up," and while it’s natural to feel a few nerves, please know that you are joining a community dedicated to your success, safety, and happiness.

We have a comprehensive transition program designed to help students find their feet. Including Induction Day, Summer Launchpad and Discovery Days. We prioritise making sure no one feels like a small fish in a big pond.

We know that for parents, this transition can be just as daunting! We pride ourselves on clear communication. If you have any questions please send me an email or give me a call on the school number.
