On Monday 30th April Mr. Finney organised a trip to watch Tottenham play Watford in a Premier League football match at Wembley Stadium, which is serving as the temporary home for Spurs this year. The boys travelled down by coach and were in jovial mood with a number of songs/chants being delivered along the way. The game itself started well and Tottenham took an early lead through a Dele Alli strike thanks to some opportunistic work from Eriksen after a goalkeeping error from the Watford No.1. The game after that was a fairly even contest and both sides wasted a number of good chances as the sides went in at half time with Spurs leading 1-0. Tottenham started the second half quickly and soon doubled their lead as Harry Kane scored a close range effort after originally fluffing his lines. The game then continued the pattern of the 1st half with both sides having excellent chances but being unable to convert. The game ended in a 2-0 win for Spurs and all attendees with maybe the exception of Mrs. Wright were left very happy with final outcome. The journey home was slightly more mixed as the chants were still sung by a number of the boys but a small group of pupils also found the Heritage coach chairs too comfortable to avoid enjoying a little snooze on the way home. Overall a good trip enjoyed by all and thanks to all the staff who helped especially Mr. Finney for organising things on the day!
