Challenge Week 2020
This week is Challenge Week. If you are in Year 7, 8 and 9 you will have the chance to go beyond the normal curriculum and develop your creativity, ingenuity, and practical skills. Each day you will have a choice of 8 exciting activities and there is the chance of winning some brilliant prizes. Are you ready for the challenge?

During Challenge Week, The Forest School collaborated with Rendel Ltd to give the opportunity to two students to win a £20 Amazon gift card.
Rendel is an international design and engineering firm providing solutions to international contractors and clients on major engineering and construction projects worldwide.
They specialise in complex civil and structural engineering solutions and their extensive project portfolio includes internationally recognised projects such as Thames Barrier, High Speed 2 and Abu Dhabi 3rd Crossing

“Science Technology Engineering and Math are fundamental to everything that we do at Rendel, we are committed to inspiring future generations to becoming Engineers so that they can have a positive influence on the future of the built environment.
The spaghetti bridge competition draws on many of the key skills required in real world engineering from structural analysis, sustainable use of materials to aesthetic appreciation. I would like to congratulate all of those that took part in the competition this year, especially our two winners, and look forward to further collaboration with the school and its students”
Congratulations to Max and Archie Redford, they win the prize for the Lightest Bridge to Carry the required Load and to Jacob Sunderland, he won the prize for the Bridge to carry the heaviest Load.
