Things move fast in the world we now live in. The old certainty of entering a career and staying there for life has long gone.
At Forest we are fully committed to doing all that we can to ensure that our pupils are fully aware and understand all the possibilities open to them in every sector of employment and the huge variety of careers on offer to them.
To do this we need your support. As parents and carers you could help to provide an enormous resource for our pupils because you are employed in a vast array of occupations across all sectors.
If you are passionate about your profession and would like to help our pupils consciously think that any career option is open to them, there are a number of ways you can help us.
Join the Year 9 pupils in Careers Speed Networking - a great fun event held in October
Offer to take a Year 10 pupil for a week’s work experience during our Challenge Week in June (sorry, we cannot accept offers from sole traders as it is a requirement for the company to have Employers Liability Insurance)
Volunteer to speak to groups of pupils about your area of work, what the job involves, what they could achieve and entry routes into that career.
If you would like to help please contact Beth Mulligan on bmulligan@theforestschool to register your interest.
